CANCER CENTER DEDICATED

Civic leaders and state officials from throughout Kansas joined The University of Kansas Hospital in celebrating the dedication of the outpatient cancer center in Westwood. The Richard and Annette Bloch Cancer Care Pavilion honors the generosity of philanthropist Annette Bloch and her late husband. In one of his first area appearances as Kansas governor, Mark Parkinson urged attendees to "Be Part of the Cure" to speed the drive for National Cancer Institute designation for The University of Kansas Cancer Center.
